Parker Spotlights New Series V16 Motor at MINExpo 2021

Marysville, Ohio., September 13, 2021 - The Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has announced it will feature the Pump & Motor Division Europe’s new Series V16 motor at the MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2021 trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV from September 13 – 15, 2021.

Series V16 is a new generation of variable displacement, bent-axis motors and a further development of Parker’s V12 and V14 bent axis motor series. The Series V16 provides customers in the mining industry with increased fuel savings and decreased carbon dioxide emissions in transmission, drilling and other mining applications.

Series V16 will be available in the following displacements:

  •          220 [cm³/rev]
  •          270 [cm³/rev]

“Series V16 has the ability of stroking to zero displacement, providing a more flexible system and increased efficiency which results in greater fuel savings and reduced environmental footprint,” said Christian Bengtsson, product leader, Pump & Motor Division Europe.

About Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division

A global technology leader, the Parker Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division brings nearly a century of combined experience. Our division is the result of the Parker piston pump business’s acquisition of Denison Hydraulics in 2004 and our mergers with the Parker Oildyne Division and the Parker Electromechanical Drives Division’s (EMD) electric motors and gearboxes. Since before WWII, Denison products have been excelling in military test stand and shipboard hydraulic applications. This acquisition allowed us to enhance the design, manufacturing and application of piston products in both open- and closed-circuit applications. With the addition of Oildyne, we have extended our offering to include the quality compact hydraulic products and systems the division has been pioneering since 1955. Like the miniature piston pumps Oildyne manufactures, it’s been a smart fit.  With the Summer 2021 addition of electric motors and gearboxes from Parker’s EMD, HPS is focused on the future of both electric and hydraulics solutions for a wide variety of applications including trucks, buses, and construction equipment vehicles.
