Kaarst, Germany, 30. April 2019 - Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has extended its hydraulic line tubing, known in the market under the brand-name ‘Ermeto’, with the addition of a new inch stainless steel programme and a diverse tube clamp programme. This significantly broadens user opportunities in construction and design and helps realise appreciable time and cost savings.
The broadening programme adds stainless steel tubes in sizes from 1/8“ (3.18 mm) up to 1“ (25.4 mm), which comply with DIN 10216-5 and ATSM A 632-4. These components are available in the stainless steel variants 1.4404 (316 L) / 1.4435 (316 L) with a bright-annealed surface.
The tube clamp offering has been further extended by several additions and innovations. This includes multiclamp which makes new design opportunities possible for the installation in rows of small format sizes from 6 – 25.4 mm (1“) outside diameter. There is a choice of up to 10 holes with various outside diameters per hole available on request. The clamp is offered in polypropylene, polyamide and rubber. Other design innovations have led to the weight and installation time of the clamps being reduced.
The B Series welding plate has been extended with the addition of anti-rotation protection. This prevents the twisting of the clamp on the welding plate through the inclusion of a centrally mounted screw. Due to this technical enhancement, significantly improved assembly safety has been achieved.
The rail carrier nut with loss protection offers enormous advantages in handling, especially during vertical installation. The nut is position-secured and has a fixed rubber cap. In comparison to traditional systems, this nut contributes to a reduction in assembly time of approximately 40%.
Other innovations include the addition of fixing adaptors that make assembly to standard profile rails from other manufacturers possible and clamp body materials featuring the addition of special inhibitors for flame-retardancy and corrosion limitation.
Parker flame-retardant tube clamps are designed especially for the railway vehicle market. Series A, B and C tube clamps comply with DIN 45545-2 and are offered in polypropylene, polyamide and full rubber materials.
The company’s solution for high corrosion risk areas is corrosion preventing polypropylene. This results in a very significant reduction in crevice corrosion between the clamp body and tubing and in turn reduces costs for maintenance and materials. This material is available in Series A and C.
