Air Compressor

Almost all air compressors use oil for sealing, lubricating and cooling, and oil lubricated compressors will contribute small amounts of oil from the compression process, in the form of five key contaminants.

Before the compression stage these contaminants can be liquid oil, oil aerosols and oil vapour. After the compression stage, when the after-cooler is cooling the air, the key contaminants can be condensed liquid water and water aerosols.
