Whether on a lake, river or open ocean, for pleasure or commerce, Racor is the preferred brand and single source for the most complete line of high performance engine filtration systems.
A new generation of engineered lube filters to meet the requirements of today’s oil-controlled components, such as injectors and turbochargers. Racor media provides the uncompromising, high level of fluid cleanliness needed to achieve operating efficiency and reach service life.
Over the years, Racor has kept pace with the increasing demands of air filtration, from tough engine requirements to longer life. Our engineers collaborate with customers to design a solution that provides installation flexibility, superior performance ease of service and unmatched customer satisfaction.
When your engine is operating in adverse conditions; offroad, in the desert, at sea or even on the local highway, it needs to be able to breath clean, dry air. Racor’s range of engine air filters offer the highest degree of filtration and life available, with pre-cleaners capable of removing in excess of 85% of dirt prior to reaching the filter element, achieving 99.9%+ efficiency (SAE J726C). Fitted with Racor Pre-Cleaning air filters, mobile equipment, mining machinery and wheel loaders can survive harsh dust filled environments without clogging air filters in seconds, continuing to work, whatever the conditions.
Racor’s complete family of air filtration systems can be configured to meet a wide range of on-road, off-road, and industrial applications. From ECO Series to a custom designed air filtration systems, Racor provides innovative solutions to exceed customer expectations. For more information see Brochure 7539.
Contaminated crankcase emissions are a serious problem for diesel engine owners and the environment. These emissions are created by combustion gases escaping past the piston rings into the crankcase. In the crankcase, these gases are contaminated with oil mist, water, and fuel vapors. These contaminated emissions are vented through the engine breather into the engine compartment or to atmosphere. As oil mist builds up on the engine components such as radiator cores and air filters, it attracts dust, grit, and other airborne contaminants. The accumulation of particles on the components affects the overall efficiency, performance, and reliability of the engine.
Crankcase emissions not only pollute the surrounding environment, they contribute to increased engine maintenance costs and can shorten the life of engine components. Racor crankvent crankcase emission systems offer an effective solution to reduce contaminated crankcase emissions and perform the following functions:
• Keeps engine compartments and components clean.
• Protects engine intake and air filters.
• Improves reliability and maintainability of diesel engines.
• More efficient than other products available on the market.
• Reduces oil consumption.
• “Green” element is completely burnable and crushable.
Over the last 40 years, Parker Racor Division has become the most trusted name in the engine, mobile, marine and stationary fuel filtration and water separation industries. Racor now has standard products available to filter virtually any fuel at any flow rate and can configure fuel systems to meet customers’ requirements for application, environment and other specific parameters.
Racor has utilized its long-time experience in the fuel supply industry to produce the most advanced aviation fuel EI (IP) 1581-qualified filter/water separators, 1590-qualified microfilters and EI 1583- qualified monitors. Racor’s qualified vessels and wide range of industry standardized interchangeable parts and products deliver a robust Hydrocarbon package.
These assemblies are designed and tested for today’s alternative fuels: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquid Propane Gas (LPG). CNG, LNG and LPG have the same problems that plague diesel and gasoline, particulate contamination collects during handling, water condenses in tanks, and compressors leak oil into the fuel stream.
FFC series filters are designed to protect critical engine components by removing 99.97% of all aerosols in the 0.3 to 0.6 micron range. These fuel filter/coalescer elements are produced by a patented process of arranging micro-glass fibers into a tubular form. During operation, fuel is forced through the coalescing media from the inside of a cartridge through a tubular wall to the outside, where large droplets fall to the bottom of the housing. Oily water emulsion accumulates until drained while dirt particles remain trapped and collect on surfaces of fibers.
The diesel fuel heaters apply heat to the fuel incoming from the fuel tank to enable it to flow more freely on its way to the primary fuel filter/water separator. Heating the fuel dissolves paraffin wax crystals (and ice) that form when diesel fuel is chilled thus enabling water separators to work more efficiently and to prevent fuel filters from plugging with wax and/or ice crystals. Two types of heaters are available by Racor: Electrical heaters use vehicle electrical power to operate the heating elements. Coolant heaters use hot engine coolant as a heat source and transfer that heat to the fuel.
Racor’s Sentinel all mechanical engine protection system is designed to protect from high water temperature, loss of oil, coolant, and tail pump pressure, and even theft. Under normal operating conditions, oil pressure from the engine will keep the fuel valve of the master control in the raised position allowing the fuel to flow through to the engine. Loss of oil pressure will automatically cause the fuel valve to drop, shutting off the fuel flow. When the engine coolant temperatures exceed the setting of the Heat Valve, the ball seal will open and dump oil pressure from under the Master Control piston. This in turn, will cause the fuel valve to fall and block fuel flow to the engine. Coolant flow pressure from the water pump keeps the coolant pressure valve in the closed position. Loss of coolant flow pressure will cause the seal to open and dump oil pressure from under the Master Control piston, thus cutting the fuel flow to the engine.
Racors automatic transmission filter kit helps extend transmission life and service intervals while reducing maintenance costs. The Racor LFS 22825 automatic transmission filter kit includes the spin-on filter element, fittings, mounting bracket and harware.

For over 30 years, Racor Village Marine Tec. (VMT) has developed innovative water desalination and purification systems for some of the most challenging environments – the middle of the ocean, 800 feet below the sea, offshore oilrigs, deserts, and disaster areas.
NASA and FEMA relied on VMT to develop a self-contained reverse osmosis plant for its disaster relief program. The Navy asked VMT for water so pure, it could be used with the nuclear reactors on its submarines. Catalina Island sought our help to ensure a steady water supply in drought conditions. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, the Army counted on us to keep a hospital open. The research required for high profile government projects has enabled Village Marine engineers to develop innovative ways to produce the most reliable RO systems in the world.
VMT offers customized and innovative solutions for converting seawater or brackish water to potable drinking water at up to 200,000 gallons per day. Please call us today to learn how VMT can support your team to supply all your fresh water needs.
