HOUSTON, May 3, 2010 – Series C5V direct operated check valve from Parker, the global leader in motion and control technologies, provides free flow in one direction and flow blocking in the counter direction.
During operation, the ball is held onto its seat by a spring under zero pressure. When the flow is increased to the cracking pressure, free flow is allowed from Port A to Port B. The valve creates blocked flow when the operating pressure and spring on Port B exceed pressure on Port A.
The series’ SAE flanges (SAE 61 and SAE 62) permit direct mounting on a pump’s pressure port, providing protection against system pressure shocks. Maximum operating pressure ranges between 280 Bar (5075 PSI) and 420 Bar (6090 PSI), depending upon the valve size and SAE flange used. Also size dependent is nominal flow, which ranges between 100 LPM and 750 LPM, depending on valve size. The valve is available in four sizes: SAE ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼” and 1 ½” and has two different seal configurations.
